Rosemary A. Joyce is Director of the Phoebe Apperson Hearst Museum of Anthropology and Professor of Anthropology at the University of California, Berkeley. Joyce is coeditor, with Susan D. Gillespie, of Beyond Kinship: Social and Material Reproduction in House Societies, also available from the University of Pennsylvania Press.
