Author Biography

Jeffrey Beaumont began his retail live bait operation in the mid-1970s using the basement of his ranch-style home in central Ontario. Starting on a shoestring budget, Beaumont was able to build his business into one of the largest live bait retailers in all of Canada. An electrician by trade, Beaumont kept working full time until his retirement in the late 1980s. Able to then devote more time to his enterprise, Beaumont expanded into lures and basic sporting goods, building upon the success of his live bait venture. "It seems this business has always been in my blood," Beaumont commented in just one of many newspaper articles about his venture.
