Prof Ghosh is also the Founder and Chairman of IconSWM, the President of the International Society of Waste Management, Air and Water, and the Chairman of the Indian Congress on Quality, Environment, Energy and Safety Management Systems (ICQESMS). In 2012, he was awarded a Distinguished Visiting Fellowship by the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK, to work on \"Energy Recovery from Municipal Solid Waste\".
