He has worked as a consultant in Infectious Disease in Birmingham and is now Clinical Lead for Infectious Disease in Bristol. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eFiona trained in medicine in Cambridge and Oxford, followed by junior doctor jobs in London. She was a PHE SpR in microbiology and completed a PhD in Salmonella genomics, through Imperial College and the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. She is a Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians and Pathologists, and lead microbiology examiner for FRCPath I \/ combined infection certificate. She is a College Lecturer \/ Official Fellow at Girton College and recently undertook a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education.
