If you feel like you're cheering on everyone else while slowly sinking, you're in the right place.
You're capable. You care deeply about your work and the people in your life. From the outside, it may even look like you have it all together.
But inside, something feels different. You're exhausted in a way sleep doesn't fix. Work that once energized you now feels heavy. And a quiet voice keeps wondering if maybe you're the problem.
That's burnout, and it can feel a lot like sinking in quicksand. In Cheerleading from Quicksand, leadership consultant and former healthcare COO Lyndi Zavy offers a refreshingly honest look at how high-capacity people end up here, and how to climb out. Through research, real stories, and her own experience, Lyndi introduces a practical framework to help you:
- Recognize the three forces behind burnout
- Reclaim your footing and find joy in your life/work again
- Rebuild energy, purpose, and connection without abandoning the life and work you care about
This isn't a book about pushing harder. It's about finding solid ground again.
