As a proudly autistic individual, he is also working towards his PhD at Aberdeen University, focusing on the experiences of ordained, neurodivergent Anglican and Roman Catholic clergy. He is a published author of three books on autism and learning disabilities and a number of papers on various nursing, theological and spiritual issues.
